West Ham vice-chairman Karren Brady has hit back at Luke Shaw.
Manchester United’s Wayne Rooney copped a three-game ban last week for a red card against West Ham, but the Red Devils felt he was not the only one.
United lodged a complaint regarding West Ham’s Diafra Sakho, who it was alleged had headbutted defender Luke Shaw, causing him a black eye in an off-the-ball incident.
An FA investigation rejected the claims, but West Ham have been left angry over the ‘incident’.
The club’s vice-chairman Karren Brady has hit out, specifically at Luke Shaw, in strong terms over the claims.
She wrote in her Sun column: “No person and no camera at Old Trafford caught Diafra Sakho deliberately connecting with Luke Shaw’s eye.
“There was a lump, apparently on the United youngster’s face after Saturday’s game, but so what? Bumps on footballers are as common as chips in a fish and chip shop.
“Maybe 19-year-old Shaw was excitable after making his debut but he should be careful before making serious accusations against a fellow professional.”
