Speaking on the Seaman Says Podcast, David Seaman has been discussing Kieran Tierney after he went down with an injury.
The Scot has been ruled out for the remainder of the season, and Seaman believes he’ll be a big miss from the Arsenal squad.
Against Crystal Palace on Monday, Tierney certainly was missed. Nuno Tavares had one of the most dreadful games we’ve seen from an Arsenal player in a while, and he was subbed off at half-time.
Seaman says that Arsenal will miss the left-back’s consistency and leadership, claiming that he sets a good example for the rest of the team.
What’s been said?
Seaman spoke about just how much Tierney will be missed.
“With Tierney, he’s a big miss. He’s that Mr. Reliable, he leads from the front, he sets an example, and it’s not just his defending it’s his attacking side of the game as well. Depending on how long he’s out he’ll be a big miss. What do you do? Tavares didn’t play well at all against Palace, and Xhaka is a midfielder out of position, so that’s not good,” Seaman said.

Blow
Tierney going down with an injury at this point of the season is a real blow for Arsenal.
We’re heading into the business end of the campaign, and at this point, you need players who are able to stand up and be counted when it matters – and Tierney is certainly a footballer in that mould.
Unfortunately though, he’ll have to watch Arsenal’s desperate attempts to hang onto fourth place from the sidelines.
