Speaking on The FPL Show, Ollie Watkins has been waxing-lyrical about Philippe Coutinho and his creativity.
The Brazilian has been a revelation since returning to the Premier League in January. He’s scored four goals and grabbed three assists since joining Aston Villa, and Watkins has been very impressed.
Indeed, on the FPL Show, Watkins was asked which player is the most likely to get an assist for the Villans, and the striker was adamant that Coutinho was the Midlands club’s best playmaker.
What’s been said?
Watkins responded when asked who the most likely player is to get an assist for Villa.
“Coutinho, I don’t have to say anymore, he sees passes before anyone else, so yeah, it’s definitely him,” Watkins said.

So many creators
Watkins says that Coutinho is the best playmaker at Villa, and while we can’t disagree with that.
However, the fact that an argument could be made for either Emi Buendia or Lucas Digne just goes to show how many brilliant creators Steven Gerrard’s side have.
Villa have so much creativity in their team now it’s frightening, and if the likes of Watkins and Danny Ings can find their shooting boots, Villa will be challenging for Europe next season.
