Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp will receive no form of punishment following his post-match confrontation with referee Paul Tierney on Sunday.
As reported by Sky Sports News, the German coach will face no further charges after his verbal exchange with the English official after Liverpool’s 2-2 draw against Tottenham.
Tierney attracted plenty of criticism after Spurs striker and England captain Harry Kane avoided a red card after a vicious tackle on Andy Roberton in the opening half, with the Scotsman being dismissed later on after a wicked swing at a Tottenham defender.
Indeed, the poor officiating resulted in Klopp confronting Tierney on the pitch, with the referee facing the fury of the Liverpool boss. However, the Anfield icon will not receive any charges for his actions.
The decision not to send Kane off was the main talking point from the match, with Liverpool fans and neutrals believing that the decision was another stain on the poor use of VAR in some incidents this season.
Indeed, Klopp’s comments towards the referee went viral on social media. And with the former Borussia Dortmund boss facing no repercussions from the incident, Liverpool fans believe justice has been served.
