Reported Arsenal and Liverpool target Endrick is good enough to play for Manchester United or Chelsea and is like Cristiano Ronaldo, according to the director of Palmeiras youth setup, Joao Paulo Sampaio, in 90min.

Sampaio has raved about Palmeiras youngster Endrick and has outlined how the 16-year-old striker is similar to Manchester United forward Ronaldo.

The official has said that the teenager is good enough to play for the likes of Real Madrid, Chelsea and United.

Sampaio has added that it is his understanding that former Real Madrid and Juventus forward Ronaldi is Endrick’s favourite player.

90min have reported that Madrid, Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain all are interested in signing Endrick from Palmeiras.

The teenager cannot move to Europe until he turns 18, but he can agree on a deal now.

Endrick has a release clause of €60 million (£52.21 million) in his current contract at Palmeiras.

The Times reported this month that Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City are also interested in Endrick.

Barcelona, Ajax and Benfica are also claimed to hold interested in one of the finest young talents in Brazilian football at the moment.

Sampaio said: “He has quality, a strong personality and a champion mentality. In that regard, he resembles Cristiano [Ronaldo].

“He trains hard, is kind and has humility. We love him very much because he makes himself loved. He tries to please everyone around him. He has everything to be a world star in the future.”

The Palmeiras official added: “I am convinced that Endrick, if he does not have injury problems, will not disappoint anyone. What I want is to see him happy.

“He’s a player for any great team, for Real Madrid, Barcelona, PSG, Chelsea, Manchester United – he’s different.

“He is a born goalscorer and can be a world star. He has the technique, physique and mentality to go a long way. Wherever he goes, I wish him, above all, much happiness.”

Sampaio continued: “I understand that Cristiano Ronaldo is his favourite footballer but he has never said so clearly to me.”
