Kamil Grosicki will be allowed to leave West Bromwich Albion but has rejected the chance to join Nottingham Forest in the Championship, Baggies boss Sam Allardyce has told the Birmingham Mail.
Just when the Poland international appeared to have kick-started his career at the Hawthorns, he finds himself on the outside looking in again.
Grosicki impressed with his technical ability and speed of thought against Wolverhampton Wanderers and West Ham recently, starting successive Premier League games for the first time in his West Brom career.
But the former Hull City star was nowhere to be seen during Tuesday’s grim 5-0 home defeat to Manchester City.
And, with West Brom looking to raise funds for new signings, Grosicki has been put up for sale – although shifting a player who recently refused a return to the Championship may be easier said than done.
“He could have gone to Nottingham Forest but he refused,” Allardyce explained.

“He has already been told if the right opportunity comes up for him he can leave because that obviously puts more funds in the pot to bring more players in before the deadline.”
A fortnight ago, Polish publication Meczyki reported Nottingham Forest had reopened talks with a player they came within a whisker of signing during the summer transfer window.
The negotiations broke down, however, with Grosicki determined to stay and fight for his place in the Premier League.
Meczyki adds that, due to a clause in his contract, the winger’s wage has risen from £35,000 to £40,000 a week.
Nottingham Forest have already signed one West Brom player this month – playmaker Filip Krovinovic.
