Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has suggested that Thomas Partey may not be able to play against Liverpool at Anfield, as quoted in Football.London.
Thomas Partey injury situation
Partey did not play against Watford due to a groin injury.
The former Atletico Madrid defensive midfielder was unable to recover in time to feature for Ghana during the international break.
Mikel Arteta’s hint
Arsenal will return to action on Saturday evening when they take on Liverpool away from home at Anfield in the Premier League.
Arteta told Football.London about Partey: “He couldn’t play for the national team.
“He really tried to do that because obviously they had a massive game and he really pushed for that one, but it wasn’t enough to do that.
“Again, that’s something we have to assess today because until today he hasn’t done enough.”

Arsenal have other options
It will be a blow for Arsenal if Partey is unable to play against Liverpool.
After all, Partey is an important player for the Gunners.
In our view, it is unlikely that Arteta will include the Ghana international in the starting lineup against Jurgen Klopp’s team.
We think that the Arsenal manager is likely to leave Partey on the bench.
Arsenal, though, do have other options.

Albert Sambi Lokonga has been playing well for Arsenal this season.
And the Belgium international will keep his place in the Gunners’ midfield.
Ainsley Maitland-Niles is also likely to keep his place in the Arsenal team following his impressive performance against Watford.
