Once a Tottenham man, always a Tottenham man and that was apparent at the weekend for Mauricio Pochettino’s following his comments about PSG.
Tottenham fans are perhaps frustrated with Jose Mourinho’s reign, thus far, but everything isn’t exactly rosy for Pochettino in France.
PSG suffered a damaging 1-0 defeat to title rivals Lille and Pochettino suggested that it’s going to be ‘difficult’ for his side to win the league, as quoted by Sky Sports.
This despite the previously dominating French champions only sitting three points behind Christophe Galtier’s dynamic and organised side.
Tottenham fans just cannot believe what their former manager is saying – and it’s pretty clear that he just simply won’t last if he fails to win the league in France.
A lot was made of Pochettino’s inability to win a trophy in North London, even though Spurs played such brilliant football and he helped nurture some talented stars.
It would be pretty remarkable if Mourinho manages to deliver a trophy for Spurs, but Pochettino fails to secure the title across the pond.
This is a big and potentially game-changing job for Poch because if he slips up here then all the hype around his coaching will be dampened somewhat.
