Leeds fans have taken to Twitter to react after finding out that Tim Robinson would oversee tonight’s Carabao Cup clash against Fulham.
What’s the story?
Well, you might remember the name from Fulham’s 2-1 win over Leeds at Craven Cottage in December 2019.
Ben White was adjudged to have pushed Bobby Decordova-Reid to the ground inside the area, and a penalty was awarded.
Aleksandar Mitrovic stepped up to smash in the controversial spot-kick, and Fulham grabbed all three points as a result.
In truth, it looked like Decordova-Reid had stumbled, and the Football Association later said Robinson had made a mistake (Leeds Live).
It goes without saying that Leeds fans aren’t looking forward to tonight’s game as a result of this past injustice.
Leeds should be wary of defeat to Fulham

Now, we’re not accusing Robinson of bias here, but it’s a fact that Fulham enjoy good results when he’s officiating their games.
As Transfermarkt shows, the Cottagers have won ten of their 12 games in which Robinson has officiated, drawing the other two.
On the other hand, Leeds have won six of their 14 games under Robinson’s watchful eye, receiving 29 yellow cards in the process.

On that note, you would think Marcelo Bielsa’s men are in for a tough night.
Having said that, Leeds are able to put out a far better team than Fulham can, so Bielsa should have more firepower than Marco Silva.
For now, let’s see what the Leeds fans on Twitter have been saying about Robinson ahead of tonight’s trip to Fulham…
