Graeme Souness has said on Sky Sports Premier League (7:45pm, October 8, 2022) that Tottenham Hotspur youngster Ryan Sessegnon has become a team player now after his performance against Brighton and Hove Albion.
The Liverpool legend made the comments about Sessegnon, who can play as a left-back, left wing-back or left winger, after watching him in action for Tottenham against Brighton at the American Express Community Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday evening.
Souness, who started his career at Tottenham, was impressed by the display produced by the 22-year-old.
Sessegnon worked hard down the left flank, did his defensive work well, and also delivered some great crosses.
It was a very solid and encouraging display from the youngster who is starting to show why Tottenham signed him from Fulham in 2019.
Sky Sports pundit Souness believes that Sessegnon is now a team player, saying that he has changes from how he used to be.

Souness said about Sessegnon: “He has got great qualities, and all he has to do, for someone like him, is obviously wanting to work hard, wanting to learn.
“He has that much quality that when he was young, everyone wanted him.
“He is now at a big club where it’s not just about when you have got the ball, it’s also about when you don’t have the ball. And he now looks like a proper team player, a disciplined player.”
