Gary Neville told Super Sunday on Sky Sports that Harry Kane ‘never said’ that he wanted to leave Tottenham during his one-to-one interview with the Manchester United legend.
For the Overlap official YouTube channel, Neville and Kane played a round of golf and discussed his time at Tottenham, Mauricio Pochettino, Jose Mourinho and his future.
But just before that one hour+ interview was released, Sky Sports reported that the Englishman had once again reiterated his desire to leave Tottenham.
Both of them added together, sparked the huge rumours that he wants out, with a number of clubs, including both Manchester clubs and Chelsea stated as potential suitors.
But Neville made it clear on Sky after the 2020/21 Premier League season was concluded that he actually didn’t utter the words of wanting to leave.
“In that interview with me, he never said that he wanted to leave Tottenham,” said Neville. “I don’t know what part of the interview people think he said that.
“He said ‘there was a conversation to be had and the chairman, to be fair to him, wants to accept a bid for him’.
“He never said that ‘he wanted to leave’. I think he’s at a point in his career where it’s a reflection point. It’s the same for Tottenham also.
Neville then agreed with Jamie Redknapp about ‘not being surprised’ if Kane is still a Tottenham player next season.

It was Sky who blew up the rumours AGAIN about Kane wanting to leave even though he has never uttered those words.
So, when Neville speaks about Kane not actually saying he wanted to leave then he should look closer to home and those who employ him for fueling such rubbish for their own drama and entertainment.
Every Tottenham supporter will make it clear that a player of Kane’s qualities needs to be challenging for the title and playing Champions League football.
But that doesn’t mean he wants out now and wants a Manchester City or a Manchester United to sign him up.
