Kevin Campbell has said on Highbury Squad that Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin is not ready to move to Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal.
Campbell, who played for both Arsenal and Everton, believes that Calvert-Lewin needs to stay at Goodison Park and continue to develop.
The Sky Sports pundit believes that the 24-year-old England international striker will eventually become a quality striker.
The Sun reported in October 2021 that Arsenal are looking at Calvert-Lewin as a potential replacement for fellow striker Alexandre Lacazette.
What Kevin Campbell has said
Campbell said about Calvert-Lewin on Highbury Squad: “I think he is a good young striker who is still learning his trade. He is still new. He is a winger, he is still learning his trade. He has not scored 20+ goals at Everton.”
The pundit added: “He will develop to be a top striker, of course, he will, I think he will, but he is playing at Everton. He needs to stay there. He needs to learn his trade, that’s what he needs to do. He needs to learn his trade.”

Could Dominic Calvert-Lewin to Arsenal happen?
In our view, it is unlikely that Everton will sell Calvert-Lewin in the January transfer window.
After all, the England international is the Toffees’ main striker.
The former Sheffield United man is also injured at the moment.
However, anything is possible in the summer of 2022.

Now, of course, Calvert-Lewin is not at the level of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Harry Kane.
Yet.
But we must not forget that the striker is only 24 and is playing for Everton.
Playing for a bigger club with a better team could see Calvert-Lewin get even better.
The Everton no. 9 has scored three goals in three Premier League games this season.
Calvert-Lewin scored 16 goals in the league last season and 13 in 2019-20.
