Darren Bent suggested on Sky Sports News (11:05am, December 13, 2020) that Dele Alli should leave Tottenham Hotspur for Paris Saint-Germain.
The former Tottenham striker, who now works as a pundit for Sky Sports, believes that a move to PSG would be good for Alli.
The 24-year-old England international midfielder has struggled for regular playing time under Spurs head coach Jose Mourinho so far this season.
According to WhoScored, Alli has made one start and two substitute appearances in the Premier League and has made two starts and two substitute appearances in the Europa League for the North London club so far this campaign.
BBC Sport has reported that French giants PSG want to sign the midfielder on loan in the January transfer window.
Bent said about Alli on Sky Sports News (11:05am, December 13, 2020): “If I was him, PSG would be a fantastic move forward for him. Champions League, some of the best players in the world, just maybe a chance for himself to reignite his career.
“If he has still got aspirations at the end of the season of getting into the England squad, he needs to be playing week in week out.”
The Englishman added: “He needs to go somewhere where he is going to play all the time. If he goes to PSG and they allow him to do that, I think he has got enough time to get himself back in that England squad.”
Leaving Tottenham Hotspur for PSG
PSG are a massive club who are likely to win the Ligue 1 title this season and also reached the final of the Champions League in 2019-20.
The French giants have some superb players, such as Neymar and Kylian Mbappe, and a move to the Parisian club would be great for Alli, if he is able to play on a regular basis.
