West Ham United have really turned things around in recent weeks.
Hammers ace Marko Arnautovic spoke to reporters in the aftermath of his side’s superb 4-1 away win at Huddersfield yesterday, and shared what his teammate Manuel Lanzini told him before the game, as quoted by the club’s official website.
The Austrian forward has formed a formidable partnership with the mercurial Argentine over the last month or so, with the pair combining to score goals for their club on numerous occasions.
Arnautovic has scored six goals and chipped in with three assists in his last eight games for West Ham, whilst Lanzini has scored two goals and provided five assists during the same period.
The Argentinian ace has often been the provider for the Austria international, but the tables were turned yesterday, when Arnautovic laid on both goals for his teammate.
The 28-year-old spoke to reporters after the game, and joked that his pair of assists should keep his teammate quiet until the next game, as quoted by WHUFC.com:
“We always try to do our best, but Manu Lanzini told me I never give him any assists for goals, but today he got two! Now I think he needs to be quiet until the next game!”
Next up for the Hammers is their FA Cup replay against Shrewsbury Town on Tuesday, before they face back-to-back home games in the Premier League against Bournemouth and Crystal Palace respectively, and if Arnautovic and Lanzini continue their fine form, it would take a brave man to bet against them continuing their winning run.
