Gerard Moreno has revealed to the Guardian that Santi Cazorla is a big Arsenal fan.
Cazorla, may have had divided loyalties on Thursday when Villarreal took on Arsenal as he represented both sides, but it is at the Emirates where his heart apparently truly lies.
Moreno says that the attacking midfielder always spoke to him about Arsenal when they were teammates together at Villarreal.
And he now can’t wait to play at the Emirates Stadium, although he wishes fans were in.
“If you talk to him, you know how much he loves Arsenal,” Moreno said.
“There are no people but you feeling like the stadium isn’t empty… hopefully in a few years we’ll meet again and they [the fans] can come.”
Cazorla remains hugely popular at Arsenal and the latest quotes will only endear himself further to the Gunners support.
The Spanish international, who now plays for Al Sadd in Qatar, spent six years with the North London side between 2012 and 2018.

During that time he wowed Arsenal supporters with his technical ability, and became a key player until injury struck.
Cazorla is unlikely to have been too pleased with what he saw from Arsenal on Thursday, but the crucial thing is that Mikel Arteta’s side do still remain alive in the contest.
Arsenal were not at their best, but managed to claim an away goal in a 2-1 defeat to Villarreal, which means that it is all to play for at the Emirates Stadium in the second leg.
