Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to react after seeing Nathaniel Phillips sporting a new look in training at the AXA Training Centre today.
The 23-year-old was spotted standing next to Trent Alexander-Arnold with a shaved head, having clearly grown tired of his longer locks.
With the hairdressers closed across the nation, Phillips has evidently taken matters into his own hands with a simple trim – in our view, it suits him.
One fan said that the Liverpool No.47 looks ‘scary’ now, while another added that his new look makes him seem more ‘intimidating’.
Another likened him to ex-Red Martin Skrtel, who spent the entirety of his time at Anfield with a skinhead which made him look like someone you wouldn’t want to mess with.
Hopefully, Phillips’ new look can have the same effect on opposition attackers, as it looks like he’ll be getting plenty of game time over the next few weeks.
Jordan Henderson, who was forced to start at centre-back against Everton, looks to be out for a significant amount of time.
With Fabinho, Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip also missing, it seems as if Phillips will be lining up alongside Ozan Kabak for the next few games.
That is, unless, Jurgen Klopp decides to give January arrival Ben Davies some starts next to his fellow new boy Kabak.
