Garth Crooks told BBC Sport that Heung-Min Son ‘looked lost’ without Harry Kane in recent weeks, as he was back to his best during Tottenham’s win against West Brom on Sunday.

After Kane was forced off during Tottenham’s defeat against the champions, defeat and defeat followed, including abject performances against the likes of Brighton and Chelsea.

But as soon as Kane returned to the fold at the weekend, both the England captain and his £22 million partner in crime, Son (BBC Sport), were back to their best and on the scoresheet.

Former Spurs hitman Crooks shared his thoughts on Son changing without Kane, and how a certain problem will be brewing in regards to the North London club becoming a ‘one-man team’.

“As much as I would like to say it wasn’t so, Tottenham are in danger of becoming known as a one-man team,” said Crooks.

“When Kane is in the side, Tottenham look a different proposition. His team-mates know it, the opposition knows it and the manager knows it.

“Son Heung-min is a top-class player but even he has looked lost without his co-striker. “

Tottenham need their deadly duo on the pitch because, without them combining, it results in the team suffering a number of problems.

From now until the end of the campaign, Spurs are in FA Cup action, in the League Cup final, chasing the Champions League and in the Europa League.

If any one of Son or Kane visit the treatment room then it’s curtains for Mourinho in regards to where he wants to be when the final ball is kicked at the end of the campaign.
