Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to react with pessimism after seeing what Ibrahima Konaté put on Instagram recently.
The Frenchman is said to be on his way to Anfield.
Fabrizio Romano revealed that the 21-year-old had agreed personal terms with the Reds, with a five-year contract lined up.
Romano added that Liverpool just need to pay RB Leipzig’s €35 million (£30.1 million) release clause, and the deal will be finalised.
Now, some Liverpool fans think he won’t be arriving at Anfield, after he uploaded a photo onto Instagram.
In the upload, a picture of Konaté celebrating can be seen, as the Champions League emblem adorns his chest.
The centre-back has also written the caption ‘Red Bull Leipzig x Champions League 2021/22’ which would suggest he plans to be around for next season.

Clearly, the Liverpool fans think he would prefer to stay and play Champions League football in Germany.
If he came to Anfield, he might have to abandon Champions League football as Jürgen Klopp’s side currently sit sixth with four games to go.
In our view, we don’t think this is anything to worry about.
Loads of footballers are obligated to do promotional posts.

For now, whatever is in the pipeline, Konaté has to act like he intends to stay at RB Leipzig.
You might remember Luis Suárez modelling Liverpool’s kit for the 2014/15 season, even though he left for Barcelona before it began.
In our view, Konaté’s post isn’t much different to that.
Let’s see what the Liverpool fans on Twitter have been saying about his Instagram upload…
