Some Liverpool fans on Twitter are gushing over Federico Chiesa’s performance against Chelsea in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
Chiesa scored the only goal as Juventus beat Chelsea, the reigning champions, 1-0 in Turin last night.
The Italian attacker grew his reputation expotentially during Euro 2020, helping the Azzurri go all the way and win the competition.
That led to speculation about a move to Liverpool and La Republicca reported that the Anfield club failed with an £86 million offer.
But still only 23, Chiesa is only going to get much better, which is a scary thought for opposititon defences around Europe.

Mane replacement?
A number of those Liverpool supporters touted him as a long-term replacement for Sadio Mane – and you have to admit, that’s the dream.
Mane has been a fine player for the Reds since joining Jurgen Klopp’s side in the summer of 2016.
But his form has been steadily declining over the past 12 months or so and no doubt Liverpool’s hierarchy will be keeping their eyes peeled for an alternative.
He is still under 30 and won’t reach that age until next April, but there’s no denying that the former Southampton livewire – who only managed 16 goals in all competitions last term – is a fading force and someone like Chiesa would be a stunning replacement.
