Arsenal defender Ben White has raved about Sergio Ramos, just months after he was reportedly offered a big money contract by the Gunners on the club’s official website.
Idolising Ramos
White was asked to name his three favourite players of all time, and he claimed that Ramos was up there with Steven Gerrard and Cristiano Ronaldo.
And if things had gone to plan for Mikel Arteta and Edu, White may actually be playing alongside his idol at Arsenal right now.
Goal.com report that Arsenal offered a £200,000-a-week contract to Ramos this summer, after his deal at Real Madrid expired.
Unfortunately for Arsenal and White, Ramos opted to move to PSG instead.

But White would have surely been among the most excited people at the Emirates Stadium, if the club were able to have pulled off the transfer.
“For me, in my position, I think Sergio Ramos is unbelievable,” White said.
“The goals he’s scored over the years and the standards that he’s kept throughout the years he’s been playing is unbelievable and something I’d like to achieve. “
Solidifying the defence
Even without Ramos around there are signs of real encouragement about Arsenal’s defence now.
White has begun to form a solid partnership with Gabriel in recent weeks, with the Gunners really starting to tighten things up.
Arsenal are unbeaten in their last four outings after a poor opening to the season, and that has quickly seen them climb up the Premier League standings.
