Leeds United defender Luke Ayling has raved about his teammate Patrick Bamford on UMM.

Ayling has said that Leeds striker Bamford has proved his doubters wrong, and seems to think that he is a gem.

The right-back has also outlined the attributes the 27-year-old striker has that make him so good.

Ayling said about Bamford on UMM: “I think if you ask anybody in our dressing room, I think everybody will say that they are so happy for Pat and for what he has done this year.

“Coming up this level and you see on talkSPORT and Sky Sports and all these things, questioning him, can he do it in the Prem, which is fair enough. From that first game, he is so confident, he is strong, he is quick and score goals.”

Leeds fans will remember what talkSPORT posted on Twitter about Bamford after the Whites were promoted.

The striker has responded to his critics perfectly, and there is no surprise that he is being linked with Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur now.

The Englishman has scored 16 goals and provided seven assists in the Premier League this season.

True, the striker can miss some good chances, but every player does that.

What Bamford gives to the current Leeds team is simply unbelievable.

Ayling himself has done well for Leeds, playing consistently well at right-back and showing that he is good enough to play in the Premier League.

The striker has made the number 9 role his own in the Leeds team, and his goals this season have been crucial in the Whites having a successful campaign.
