Nuno Espirito Santo has claimed that Tottenham’s fitness coach, Antonio Dias, is ‘amazing’, as he told Soccer AM.
The Tottenham boss stated that the 38-year-old will ‘always try to find things related to the game’ even through his fitness work with the players.
It was wholesale changes in North London in the summer, with Nuno coming into the building and bringing a large group of staff with him.
It’s the same backroom staff that worked with him at Wolves, where he guided the Midlands outfit to back-to-back European finishes.
Nuno was asked about his training sessions and where one idea of wrestling with one another, before turning and shooting, comes from.
“Your sessions look a right laugh,” said Tubes. “Where do they come from where they have to wrestle each other and turn?”
Nuno responded: “That comes from Antonio (Dias). He’s amazing. He is so good. He is always trying. Even in his fitness work, always trying to find things related to the game.
“The game has contact. There is holding, so if you can promote that in a warm-up then you are upgrading what is coming up in the session in front of you, relating to the game.
“Of course, they have a laugh, because you work so much better if you have a smile on your face and you are happy.”

Tottenham are going to need to put the hard yards in training now if they are to turn this min-rut around.
The issue for Nuno is that it’s come at the wrong time because a certain North London rival awaits them at the weekend.
They have the chance to go into that match by increasing the morale in the camp because they take on Wolves in the EFL Cup tonight.
Progressing through to the next round, getting Harry Kane on the scoresheet and even keeping a clean sheet would be the perfect night.
If it’s the complete opposite then the heat will increase in Nuno’s kitchen.
