If it wasn’t obvious before, Arsenal have a gem in the form of Gabriel Martinelli.
The Brazilian 20-year-old has probably been his side’s most influential player since Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang dropped out of the squad in December.
Arsenal needed somebody to step up in his absence – and Martinelli has done just that.
He was electrifying again this afternoon as the Gunners hosted Manchester City at the Emirates Stadium.
Pep Guardiola’s side wound up winning 2-1, thanks to a late goal from Rodri.
But even fans of the Etihad club were gushing over the Arsenal player’s display.

Martinelli has courted comparisons between Thierry Henry in recent weeks.
And although he has a long way to go before he emulates the Arsenal icon, you can see why.
It’s because Martinelli gets fans to their feet in excitement and it’s that electric performances which frightened the wits out of Joao Cancelo today, particularly in the first half.
Even more remarkable is the fact that the North Londoners picked him up for a mere £6 million, which is going to look like an insane piece of business in the near future.
Martinelli is a star in the making – and even the City fans know it.
