West Ham United boss David Moyes has told Football London that Issa Diop is not injured after last night’s game.
Diop came off during West Ham’s clash with Manchester United at half-time after taking a blow to the head.
But Moyes insists that the central defender’s problem is not a severe one, and he was only taken off as the club did not want to take any risks.
“We think he is fine. He bumped his head before half-time so I chose to take no risks and I took him off,” Moyes said.
West Ham’s strategy was undoubtedly the sensible one, especially with the club now able to use a concussion substitute.
Diop could be in line to feature on Monday now too, if Moyes’s assessment is correct.
West Ham will be without Angelo Ogbonna due to injury, which could provide Diop with a chance.

The French defender has not played much this season, but has previously proven himself as a big talent, and the pressure will be on him if he does step into the team.
Craig Dawson and Ogbonna’s partnership has been very solid in recent weeks, and Diop has big shoes to fill with the Italian absent.
