Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is back and will be in Liverpool’s squad against Burnley this evening at his latest press conference, which was broadcast on the club’s official website.

Oxlade-Chamberlain missed Liverpool’s last game with illness, but is fully fit again now.

In further good news for the Reds both James Milner and Diogo Jota are also recovering well from their problems.

However, it seems that Naby Keita won’t be fit enough to feature for Liverpool again this season.

“Millie will train today, will that be enough to get him involved tomorrow? I will see,” Klopp said, when asked to give an injury update.

“Diogo the swelling has actually gone down and it looks better than in the first place, with the first scan.

“There is a tiny, little chance for the weekend but it depends how he improves that.

“That is good news for Portugal and Diogo himself with the Euro’s.

“Ox is back, Naby wasn’t part of team training so that will not be enough, but Ox was in training.”

Oxlade-Chamberlain’s return should help bolster Liverpool’s midfield options, although his chances of starting look slim.

The former Arsenal man has failed to hold down a place in Klopp’s line-up this season and has only really been used as a substitute.

Milner may have some chances of featuring if he does make it back in time but, again, he looks most likely to start on the bench.

Keita’s absence, meanwhile, is becoming an all too familiar tale at Liverpool.

The creative midfielder just cannot seem to find a way off the treatment table for any concerted period of time, and his future will surely come into question this summer.
