Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has told the London Evening Standard that Eddie Nketiah simply ‘has’ to be given first-team chances, as he is so talented.
Nketiah scored the winner for Arsenal at the weekend, as they beat West Ham United 2-1.
The game was a rather scrappy one, with Arsenal failing to find their best form throughout, but Nketiah once again showed his goalscoring prowess late on.
And Arteta said: “I think it is a natural ability that he has. Probably as well the really good education that he has had with the coaches in our academy, to find the right positions.
“He has the intuition and then obviously he is able to put the ball in the net with his quality and execution level that he has.
“He is aggressive. I am delighted. We know he is a threat. He is someone in the box who is a real danger and we have to use him.
“Every time I have given him the opportunity he has performed really well.”

Nketiah is one of the Arsenal players who has benefitted the most from Arteta’s arrival.
The Spanish boss seems to really trust the 21-year-old, and he has provided him plenty of appearances so far.
Arteta’s latest comments will surely be music to the ears of the Arsenal front man too, as they suggest that he will be given plenty more minutes in the future.
Arsenal’s next game comes against Leicester City on Wednesday evening, and Nketiah may well be selected to start.
