Harry Kane has stated that Dan James is a ‘fast lad’ after he came up against the Leeds player over the weekend, as the Tottenham striker told BT Sport.

Tottenham recorded a 4-0 win at Elland Road and Kane spoke about having to do the hard yards and track back on players like James.

Leeds may have suffered yet another morale-sapping and heavy defeat, but like always, they always create chance after chance in the final third.

That was the case over the weekend, with James part of a Leeds front three that just couldn’t seem to find the back of the net.

Nonetheless, this is what Kane had to say about also doing the defensive side of the work as a Spurs player.

“Yes, (putting in the hard yards in the second half),” said Kane. “He (Dan James) is a fast lad. Thankfully, I had Pierre (Hojbjerg) covering for me as well.

“That’s what we need if we want to produce results, it’s not just about what you do with the ball when you attack.

“We need to help and defend as much as possible and help the team out. And I feel like we are doing that.”

Well, that defeat was the end of the road for Marcelo Bielsa, who was sacked by the club on Sunday.

One of the Premier League’s best entertainers is out of the door and he probably won’t manage in England’s top-flight again.

If that’s the case, then it is a crying shame because whoever you are, one thing is for sure, Bielsa and his team put on a show.

Perhaps being too overly offensive and gung-ho has now cost Bielsa his job, as Leeds now have a fight on their hands to stay in England’s top-flight.
