Glenn Murray has claimed that Dejan Kulusevski ‘hasn’t hit the heights’ at Tottenham Hotspur this season compared to what he produced when he first arrived, as he told BBC Radio 5 Live Sport.

The former Premier League striker added that Kulusevski has ‘blown hot and cold’ under Antonio Conte this term, as Spurs are unbeaten in all competitions.

The 22-year-old moved to north London from Juventus during the January transfer window and played in his new colours like he had been there forever.

Kulusevski wasn’t thriving in Italy, but struggling to make a name for himself with the Old Lady, hence why they were happy to see him depart when Fabio Paratici came knocking.

In 20 Serie A games last term, he scored once and assisted three times, in comparison to his five goals and eight assists from his 18 Premier League matches that helped Spurs to Champions League football.

But since then, Murray thinks the player’s form has dropped and its summer capture, Richarlison, who is the only one in real form is in the final third.

“He (Richarlison) seems to be the only one (in a groove), Harry Kane to a certain extent,” said Murray. “But Kulusevski has been blowing hot and cold.

“I would say he hasn’t hit the heights we saw him hit when he came in last season, then obviously the big talking point at Tottenham is Son Heung-min.”

WHO STARTS ALONGSIDE HARRY KANE?

Well, who would have thought it? Tottenham haven’t even seen past September and Conte might just be making some serious changes to his forward line.

Kane starts, no matter what, and even when his engine isn’t hot yet, he still has five Premier League goals from six matches.

But the same can’t be said for Son Heung-min, who struggles whilst Richarlison thrives, so could tonight’s game against Sporting Lisbon in the Champions League see Kane have Richarlison and Kulusevski either side of him?

Well, form suggests that should be the case and what depth Conte is building if he has someone like Son sitting on the bench.
