Speaking on The Overlap, Jamie Carragher has been discussing Liverpool’s win against Tottenham at the weekend.
The Reds picked up a vital three points against Spurs in their first away win of the season, and after the game Jurgen Klopp looked utterly elated.
The German celebrated in his usual passionate fashion, but Carragher noted that the Liverpool boss hasn’t been indulging in his celebratory antics as of late, stating that the manager hasn’t got involved in that in any of the Reds’ recent wins.

Klopp back celebrating
Carragher noted that Klopp hasn’t been celebrating as he usually does lately.
“Gary was there and I watched it on TV. It felt like a really big game for Liverpool. When you saw Klopp celebrate at the end, he hasn’t been doing that as of late. For obvious reasons, they’ve not won many games, but they have won games where he hasn’t gotten involved in that. To do that, he knew how big of a game it was before the match,” Carragher said.
Relief
Klopp celebrated like a man who was utterly relieved on Sunday.
His Liverpool team were under mountains of pressure to go and get a win against Spurs after two utterly dreadful results against Nottingham Forest and Leeds, and they delivered.
Klopp had every reason to be overjoyed with the win at the weekend, and while the Reds are still a long way away from where they want to be, three points against Spurs is a big step towards getting back on track.
The manager knew that this result could be something of a turning point in Liverpool’s season, ad his celebrations were very much justified after such a big result.
