Richard Kingson has suggested that reported Arsenal target Thomas Partey should move to the Premier League this summer, as quoted in Goal.com.

According to a report in The Telegraph in May, Arsenal are interested in signing Partey from Spanish club Atletico Madrid in the summer transfer window.

The report has claimed that the defensive midfielder wants to join the Gunners this summer, and that the Ghana international has a release clause of £45 million in his contract at Atletico.

Former Ghana international goalkeeper Kingson, who played for Blackpool among other clubs in England, believes that Partey should move to England.

Goal.com quotes Kingson as saying about Partey: “Of course [Partey can go to England]. In football, it is a season. He has already made his name there [in Spain].

“He needs also to go to the toughest league to play. Partey is young. Partey is now coming up so I think going to England is a plus. He has to go.”

Move to Arsenal?

Partey is a very good defensive midfielder who has done well for Atletico, both in La Liga and in the Champions League for a number of years now.

Atletico are a massive club who regularly compete for the league title in Spain and also play in the Champions League.

However, Arsenal are a global brand, and the Premier League is arguably the most popular and the richest domestic football league in the world.
