Tony Pulis told BBC Radio 5 Live Sport that Leeds United forward Tyler Roberts has ‘got everything’ after watching him in action for Wales on Wednesday night.
The Leeds 22-year-old came off the bench during Wales’ 3-1 defeat to Belgium in a World Cup qualifier last night.
Pulis handed the versatile Leeds attacker his debut before he switched West Brom for Elland Road.
And Pulis shared the ‘little doubt’ he had about Roberts when he was coming through, but he made it clear that he is a ‘very, very talented boy’ and is now proving his worth under the highly-demanding, Marcelo Bielsa.
“Well, I had Tyler at West Brom,” said Pulis. “I gave him his league debut. He’s a very talented boy. And I mean a very, very talented boy. He has got everything.
“I was always a little bit concerned whether he had the mental toughness to really push on. Obviously, at Leeds, if you haven’t got that then Bielsa’s not going to play you.
“The kid has pushed on. It’s been great to see him, especially the ones you have worked with and those who you have a little bit of doubt about and they come through.
“And he is one of them. It’s really nice. I really do enjoy people who not prove you wrong but go on and do as well as you thought they would.”

Roberts is still searching for the elusive Premier League goal for Leeds but as his game time increases at Elland Road, he will be hoping that comes sooner rather than later.
But until then, he will be hoping to find some much-needed confidence with his country, who now face off against Mexico and the Czech Republic during these coming days.
