Leeds United head coach Marcelo Bielsa has said that Adam Forshaw is now training, as quoted in Leeds Live.
Bielsa has said that Forshaw is fit and healthy, and that the 30-year-old Leeds midfielder is training.
The Leeds boss told Leeds Live about Bielsa: “He is healthy. He has been training. The performance of a player is based on whether he is healthy to play.
“With technical and physically he can assimilate the competition. You have to confirm this data in consecutive games. Forshaw is healthy. He has been training. Now he has to assimilate a succession of games.”
Getting back to full match fitness
We know how badly hit Forshaw has been by injuries.
The 30-year-old has been on the books of Leeds since January 2018, but the former Middlesbrough star has struggled with injury and fitness problems since the opening weeks of the 2019-20 campaign.
Forshaw – who earns £28,000 per week as salary, according to Salary Sport – has played 39 minutes in the Premier League and 173 minutes in the Carabao Cup for Leeds so far this season.

Now, we do not think that Forshaw will be able to make himself a regular in the Leeds first team anytime soon.
After all, it takes a while for players to get back into the rhythm.
And Forshaw has had fitness problems for months.
We just have to trust Bielsa to gradually get Forshaw into full match fitness.
