Jamie Carragher was raving about Liverpool forward Diogo Jota on Sky Sports Premier League (6:47pm, November 20, 2021) while watching him in action against Arsenal at Anfield.
The former Liverpool defender was impressed by Jota’s performance and his goal against Arsenal.
The Portugal international forward found the back of the net in the opening minutes of the second half.
Liverpool won the Premier League game 4-0.
Carragher said about Jota during his commentary on Sky Sports: “He has been a brilliant signing, Jota, he really has. His goal record is fantastic to the minutes he plays.”
The Englishman added in the 76th minute: “He has been a revelation since he joined the club. He really has.”
Diogo Jota is a star
We know how good Mo Salah is.
The Egypt international forward scores goals after goals.
And he scored against Arsenal tonight.
Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino are class forwards as well.
However, we must give credit to Jota.
The 24-year-old knows that he has to fight for his place in the team.
And he does just that.
Jota always puts in a shift and does his best.
The former Wolverhampton Wanderers forward has scored five goals in nine Premier League starts so far this season.
The Liverpool no. 20 scored nine goals in 12 league starts and scored four goals in six Champions League starts last season.
For Liverpool to win the Premier League and the Champions League this season, Jota will have to be on top of his game throughout.
Liverpool will need the forward’s goals.
