Jamie Carragher raved about Newcastle United star Joelinton on Sky Sports Premier League (10:08pm, May 16, 2022) after watching him in action against Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal at St. James’ Park.

An own goal from Ben White saw the Magpies take the lead in the 55th minute.
And then in the 85th minute Bruno Guimaraes made it 2-0 to Newcastle.
Joelinton has been playing in midfield for Newcastle under head coach Eddie Howe, and the Brazilian started on the left of a midfield-three against Arsenal.
And former Liverpool star and Sky Sports pundit Carragher was impressed by the 25-year-old.

Transformed
In our view, Newcastle head coach Eddie Howe has transformed Joelinton.
The Brazilian struggled as a striker under Steve Bruce last season, but since he has been playing in midfield, he has been superb.
Joelinton is now a force to be reckoned with in the middle of the park.
The Brazilian played a pivotal goal in Newcastle’s opening goal and dominated proceedings in midfield.
The Newcastle no. 7 has made 29 starts and five substitute appearances in the Premier League this season.
Joelinton has scored four goals and given one assist in those matches.
