Nigel Winterburn has claimed that Arsenal star, Kieran Tierney, has ‘all the qualities’, as he told Seaman Says Podcast.
The Highbury hero added that Tierney is also ‘Mr Dependable’ for Arsenal at the back.
Well, Mikel Arteta might just be without the 24-year-old’s services for the rest of the season because of a knee injury.
It has come as a body blow for the club because of the timing and the fact that they are trying to chase Champions League football.
Nonetheless, Winterburn lauded the qualities Tierney has in his locker, as he is set to watch his teammates on from the sidelines.
“If you remember when he came, he was injured to start with,” said Winterburn. “But he has all the qualities that he needs to be a top fullback, especially in the modern game. He has shown that.
“His crossing ability is fantastic. Defensively, most of the time, he is sound.
“I think he is just Mr Dependable. That’s what you what from your players at the back. You want them to be dependable defensively, then they give you extra going forward. He certainly gives you extra going forward.
“He’s not going to make a lot of mistakes defensively. I think that’s the important thing.”

With Alexandre Lacazette currently donning the captain’s armband, well until the end of the season anyway.
That role might just be handed to Arsenal’s flying Scotsman on a full-time basis next season.
If Lacazette does leave when his contract expires in June, Arsenal’s £25 million signing (Sky Sports) will surely be top of the tree to replace him.
When Lacazette has been subbed off this season, he has, at times, handed the armband over to Tierney, so that is probably an indication that it might just be him down the line.
