Speaking on Grant Wahl’s podcast, Jack Harrison has spoken about Patrick Bamford’s talent and the stick he got from supporters last season.
Bamford was one of the most-maligned players in the Leeds squad last term, with his perceived poor finishing causing a lot of frustration amongst the fanbase.
Bamford has spoken about this himself in the past, and now Harrison has given his view on the fans’ treatment of Bamford.
“He’s a goalscorer that’s what he does, he finds chances where there are slim chances and he makes something out of nothing you know?
“I’ve always seen it with him playing at Middlesbrough and then coming to Leeds, some of the goals he’s scored he’s a fantastic striker.
“I think in the last couple of seasons in the Championship he had a lot of stick from fans and I never really why he got so much stick, because that last season in the Championship he got 16 goals which is an incredible achievement.”

Hindsight is 20/20 and looking back it does seem as though Leeds fans were a little too harsh on Bamford.
Most Leeds fans would probably admit that they were a bit unfair on the striker, but to be fair to the supporters who were chastising the striker, tensions were running incredibly high last season and there was a lot of pressure on Bamford’s shoulders.
Bamford did miss a number of chances last season, that is undeniable, but it’s fair to say he’s more than made up for that this term.
