Some Arsenal fans on Twitter are excited by potentially signing Marash Kumbulla when the transfer window opens.

According to FC Inter News, the Gunners are keen on the 20-year-old defender, who plays for Italian side Hellas Verona.

If true, the report adds that Arsenal might have to cough up some £26 million for the centre-back.

Kumbulla isn’t the most high-profile defender that the North Londoners have been linked with, amid speculation about signing the likes of Dayot Upamceano and Samuel Umtiti for instance.

But some Arsenal supporters have indeed seen him in action and here’s their reaction to the report on Twitter.

Even for £26 million, Arsenal could struggle here.

The Emirates Stadium side are definitely a wealthy club, but this global health crisis is a huge problem financially.

The truth is that without Champions League revenue, and a massive wagebill of just under £100 million a year [The Mirror], they’re not in a position to spend a lot of money.

Before this happened, £26 million was a drop in the ocean for an elite club, but now it really is a significant sum and the Gunners might struggle to afford Kumbulla.
