Speaking on The Done Deal Show, Dean Jones has shared what he’s heard about Harry Kane after Antonio Conte’s arrival at Spurs.

Appointing Conte is one of the most exciting moves Tottenham have made in years. The Italian is a proven winner at almost every level, and Spurs fans will be hoping that there is some silverware on the horizon.

One man who will certainly be hoping Tottenham can win some trophies is Harry Kane, and Jones says that Kane is very optimistic about Spurs’ chances after Conte’s arrival.

What’s been said?

Jones shares what he knows about Kane’s view on Conte’s appointment.

“I’m told that he’s much more optimistic about Conte turning this team around. He feels that this is as good a chance as any of Tottenham getting a reboot and winning stuff under Conte, because he has a reputation of doing so. Right now, there’s no chance of Harry Kane leaving in January. All the signs say that he’s staying at Tottenham, he’ll probably even sign a new contract,” Jones said.

Restoring faith

Conte’s appointment seems to have restored Kane’s faith in Spurs’ chances of winning trophies, and for good reason.

Conte is a miracle-worker. Just look at what he’s done at Chelsea and Inter in recent years.

He took Chelsea from 10th to 1st in one season, winning the league with a team that genuinely had Victor Moses as a key player. While he also transformed Inter’s fortunes despite the Milan outfit not having the best squad in the league.

If Conte can repeat the trick at Spurs, it may not be long before we see the north London outfit winning things.
