Former Ibrox striker Kris Boyd has criticised Rangers winger Jordan Jones in The Scottish Sun.
Boyd, who now works as a pundit for Sky Sports, does not believe that Jones will play for Rangers again.
The Scotsman has criticised the Northern Ireland international winger for not making the most of his move to Rangers.
Boyd made the comments in the wake of the Scottish Premiership club suspending the 26-year-old winger and his Rangers teammate George Edmundson for attending a private gathering on Sunday and breaking Covid regulations, as reported by BBC Sport.
The Scotsman wrote in The Scottish Sun: “I can’t see any way back for the pair after this. Their brainless stupidity may have been a rush of blood to the head.
“I can’t think they made a conscious decision to risk everything by attending what the kids these days call ‘a gaff’.”
The Sky Sports pundit added about Jones: “I played with Jordan at Kilmarnock and he deserved to get his move to Rangers. He earned it for his performance and I was delighted for him. But to throw it away like this baffles me.”

Jordan Jones’s disappointing Rangers spell
Jones signed for Rangers on a pre-contract deal in January 2019, as reported by The Daily Record, and linked up with Steven Gerrard’s side in the summer of 2019.
Much was expected of the former Middlesbrough prospect at Ibrox, but the ex-Kilmarnock star has failed to make a huge impact at Rangers.
The winger suffered a long-term injury against Celtic and returned to action after three months out in December, as reported by The Scottish Sun.
However, the 26-year-old struggled for regular playing time thereafter, and this season, he has fallen down the pecking order.
According to WhoScored, Jones has made two starts and one substitute appearance in the Scottish Premiership for Rangers so far this season, scoring one goal in the process, and has played just 24 minutes in the Europa League.
