Celtic celebrate winning the final
Former Bhoys goalkeeper Pat Bonner has told BBC Sport that he felt midfielder and captain Scott Brown ‘led by example’ for Celtic against Aberdeen in a man of the match performance.
Bonner added that Brown ‘dominated proceedings’, controlling the game and even showing some flair in the heart of the Celtic midfield as he continued to play his best football under Brendan Rodgers.
“Man of the match, dominated proceedings, looked in control and showed flair at times,” said Bonner. “Won a tackle with O’Connor that probably put paid to the defender for the next five or 10 minutes. Led by example,” he added.
