
Arsenal fans have praised Granit Xhaka for his comments after their progression into the last four of the Europa League.
A lot was riding on the line for Arsenal on Thursday, but they breezed past a Slavia Prague side that had previously knocked Leicester and Rangers out of the competition.
And with Tierney on the sidelines with a potentially season-ending injury, it was Xhaka who has been deployed to play the Scotman’s role.
After the match, Xhaka claimed that he ‘doesn’t care’ what position he is playing if Arsenal wins the Europa League, as he told the club’s official website.
And a previously criticised figure in North London has received some much-needed love and praise from his supporters for the attitude he is showing.
Xhaka has been Arsenal captain before, and that infamous game against Crystal Palace put an end to that.
But many of the Arsenal faithful feel that the 28-year-old is still a leader without the armband and they think his comments prove it.
