Speaking on the 90Min YouTube channel, Micah Richards has picked Leeds United Brenden Aaronson as this season’s player to watch.
Richards, as a boyhood Leeds fan, may have been a bit biased in making this claim, but he seemed fairly confident that the American will have a big part to play for the Whites this season.
The pundit is seemingly a massive fan of the former RB Salzburg man, stating that he’s a player who doesn’t hide from the ball.
What’s been said?
Richards had nothing but good things to say about Aaronson.
“Aaronson without fail he’s the one to watch. A lot of players, you can see them hiding, but he doesn’t hide, he gets on the ball wherever and with the tempo that Leeds want to play at Elland Road with the new signings, I think it’s going to gel nicely,” Richards said.
Perfect start
Richards thinks that Aaronson will make a real impact this season, and it has to be said, he’s gotten off to the perfect start.
The American scored his first goal of the campaign against Wolves on Saturday, and it looks as though there could be plenty more where that came from.
Aaronson was constantly looking for the ball against Wolves, and once Luis Sinisterra returns from injury, he should be able to move into his more natural position behind the striker.
Aaronson hasn’t been given much attention this summer, potentially because he was signed so early, but this young man may well end up going down as the best player Leeds signed this summer.
Richards can’t wait to see what Aaronson can do, and neither can we.
