Wolves striker Fábio Silva has revealed that he loves watching Harry Kane play, and admitted that he idolises the Tottenham No.10.

As quoted by the Express and Star, Silva said: “At the moment the striker I look at most is Harry Kane.

“When I played at Porto the guy I watched more was Sergio Agüero but now at this moment I think the guy I watch is Kane. I feel the same. Sometimes I don’t score but I feel I do things right to help the team.

“Sometimes Kane doesn’t score but I look at the game and he has helped the team. He does things right, defensively, offensively, stretches the defence.”

That is quite the praise from the Portuguese wonderkid.

At least he’s got his eye on the right role model!

Silva arrived on these shores back in September for a club-record fee of £35 million, which placed huge pressure on his young shoulders.

After all, the Wolves No.17 is just 18 years of age, so it was a massive amount of money to spend on such an inexperienced forward.

However, Silva has done well in his first season in England.

He has been given far more game time than he probably would’ve expected, following a serious head injury to Raúl Jiménez.

Despite being thrown in at the deep end, Silva has scored six goals in 34 games, while also recording two assists.

There are many parts to Silva’s game that look similar to Kane’s.

As the £80,000-a-week teenager said himself, he is trying to influence matches even when he isn’t scoring, by doing things that help the team.

Kane is an expert in dropping deep to dictate the play, and you can certainly see similar aspects of Silva’s game that make him stand out as a clever forward.

Specifically, his movement, awareness and eye for a pass are brilliant for his age.

Silva will be facing his idol tomorrow when Wolves travel to north London.

Hopefully, he can avoid being starstruck by the England international’s presence, and look to build on his six goals this season.
