Alan Shearer has praised Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale on Match of the Day on BBC One (10:29pm, December 11, 2021) for his performance against Southampton at the Emirates Stadium.
The Newcastle United legend believes that Ramsdale was perfect for Arsenal in their 3-0 win against Southampton in the Premier League.

Shearer said about Ramsdale: “He did everything right. Some of his saves again were superb. Seven clean sheets now for him in 13 games. He was used a bit more often than Arteta would have liked.”

Ramsdale is going from strength to strength at Arsenal and is proving to a very good signing for the North London club.
The 23-year-old is keeping clean sheets, making wonderful saves and is transmitting confidence to his defenders.
The England international suffered relegations with Sheffield United and Bournemouth before his move to Arsenal.
And Ramsdale is now proving that the relegations were not his fault.
In our view, Ramsdale is only going to get better.
