Reported Queens Park Rangers target Tosin Kehinde is free to leave this summer and has interest from clubs in the English Championship, Randers FC’s sporting director tells Amtsavis

QPR’s interest in the one-time Manchester United youngster is not a new development.

The Londoners held talks with Kehinde back in 2018, along with Nottingham Forest, Brentford and Derby County, before the Nigerian winger opted to join Portuguese outfit SC Feirense instead.

Now plying his trade in Denmark, a return to Britain appears to be on the cards for Kehinde.

Les Ferdinand, QPR’s director of football, watched the 23-year-old in action during Randers’ recent UEFA Conference League defeat to Leicester City.

And, according to AllNigeriaSoccer, Randers are open to offers in the region of £2 million.

Will long-time target Tosin Kehinde finally join QPR?

“I know English and German clubs are keeping an eye on him,” explains director Soren Pedersen. “Clubs from both the top and second divisions.”

When pressed on whether Kehinde will be allowed to leave in the summer, Pedersen admitted that a Randers side who finished sixth in the Danish Superliga last term would not stand in his way.

“I hope so (he will leave) because I think that both he and we deserve it,” Pedersen adds.

“He has developed really well. But he has also been in an environment where he has had the opportunity to do so with skilled coaches. There are several interested clubs.

“So, right now, it is on the cards that he will move on in the summer.”

Kehinde has provided three goals and seven assists from his favoured left-wing position this term. And, who knows, Queens Park Rangers could be a Premier League club once again if – or when – Mark Warburton’s side firm up their interest in the summer.

QPR are currently sitting pretty in fifth following Sunday’s comeback win at fellow play-off chasers Luton Town.
