The Brazilian has reportedly said he wants to make it at Manchester United.

Manchester United midfielder Andreas Pereira has reportedly been given assurances by Jose Mourinho that he will get first-team opportunities in the upcoming season.

The Mirror has reported that Mourinho told the Brazilian he would get his chance in 2018/19 and that Pereira says he wants to make it at United.

The 22-year-old has been at the club since he joined from PSV Eindhoven in 2011 but despite signing a professional contract at the age of 17 has made just 13 first team appearances.

An exciting attacking midfielder with quick feet, Pereira has shone brightest during loan spells at La Liga clubs Granada and Valencia, the latter of whom having tried to sign him permanently.

Pereira put together an impressive season with Valencia in 2017/18, playing an important role in their fourth-placed finish and Champions League qualification.

Having been born in Belgium, the United prospect has represented both Belgian and Brazil at youth level but is yet to get a full international cap for either.

The Red Devils have a wealth of talent attacking positions and may add to that in the transfer window, so Pereira will have to be ready to grab the chances he gets with both hands.

United have a strong history of developing young talent and it appears the fans were impressed by the young midfielder’s statement of intent and want the Brazilian to get his chance.
