Former Fulham striker Leroy Rosenior says Bernd Leno has changed his career around at Craven Cottage after leaving Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal last summer.
The 31-year-old has had a standout campaign with Marco Silva’s newly-promoted side, helping them to a top-half finish and securing eight clean sheets along the way.
With Mikel Arteta making Aaron Ramsdale his number one, it meant that Bernd Leno had to find a new home and Rosenior thinks he has been ‘absoutley rejuvenated’ at Fulham, as he told Premier League Productions when broadcast on (30/05/23 at 3:55 pm).

When Arteta brought in Ramsdale last summer, it was a big call from the Arsenal boss because Leno wasn’t doing much wrong in between the sticks.
But he clearly saw something in Ramsdale that would help take the club’s play, from the back, to the next level and it has proven to be the case.
Leno ended up making an £8 million exit (Sky Sports) and whilst losing the Arsenal number one spot would have been a bitter pill to swallow, he is now proving his worth elsewhere.
“Absoutley rejuvenated at Fulham,” said Roseinor. “When he left Arsenal people were really worried about his career because he couldn’t handle what Arteta was asking of him.
“But he has gone to a manager that really believes in him and I see a Bernd Leno, a lot of the Bernd Leno, that first went to Arsenal, so really pleased for him.”

RAMSDALE HAS TAKEN ARSENAL TO THE NEXT LEVEL
As the England international proved last season and during the recently-concluded campaign, he has taken standards to the next level.
Whilst there weren’t many issues with Leno’s shot-stopping and he was a reliable keeper, it’s playing out from the back where Ramsdale excels at most.
That’s where there is a big difference between the two and why the Gunners were able to challenge for the title this term, although, they did shoot themselves in the foot towards the end.
