Jamie O’Hara has stated that he can see Mauricio Pochettino returning to Tottenham and Antonio Conte heading to PSG, as he told talkSPORT (01/11/21 at 6:40 am).

The former midfielder stated that Pochettino isn’t convincing over in France, and as a result, Pochettino could ‘end up back at Spurs’.

Before any of that can happen, Tottenham need to sack the man in their dugout in Nuno Espirito Santo, before any wild or dreamy scenarios can be dreamt of from the fans.

And given what happened to Spurs on Saturday against Manchester United, especially the reaction of the home supporters, then it seems as though Nuno’s days are numbered.

If Daniel Levy does indeed fire Nuno before he could celebrate Christmas in North London, then a new face will have to take to the dugout.

But O’Hara could see an old face returning instead, in the form of Pochettino, as he explained why.

“He could come back you know, Pochettino,” said O’Hara. “I could see that happening.

“They’re not that convincing, at the moment PSG and you know them owners are ruthless.

“If the Champions League doesn’t go quite like they want it to because he has to win a Champions League, Poch.

“He could end up back at Spurs. I could watch see them (PSG) sacking him, bringing in a Conte and then all of a sudden we turn our attention to Poch. That would be the best scenario.”

A lot has to happen for Pochettino to return to Tottenham, including him losing his job in Paris.

Given that there is Chelsea and Roman Abramovich style patience in the PSG boardroom, then Pochettino is aware, one slip up and he is out of the door.

And, more than likely, that will come in the Champions League, which is the competition PSG want to win most of all.

If he delivers the goods on that front then there is no chance he comes back to North London.

But Spurs will probably need a new manager in these coming days and it’s quite clear it’s not going to be Poch, so Daniel Levy, who is already under pressure, now has to deliver the goods, else an already toxic atmosphere can become worse.
