Tottenham Hotspur could be the ‘best fit’ for Juventus forward, Paulo Dybala, and not the likes of Liverpool, Manchester City or Manchester United, according to Don Hutchison.
The former Liverpool player thinks that Dybala could be Tottenham’s ‘Christian Eriksen’ once again, as he told Premier League Productions (22/03/22 at 2:10 pm).
Dybala is set to leave Juventus on a free transfer in the summer, after contract negotiations between the club and the player broke down, according to transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano.
Given that Tottenham’s Managing director, Fabio Paratici, once sat in the Juventus boardroom, it’s obvious that Dybala’s name is going to be linked to Tottenham’s.
Hutchison shared his thoughts on the Dybala situation and which clubs will suit the 28-year-old, as he dropped Tottenham’s name firmly into the hat.
“Paulo Dybala is a really, really good player,” said Hutchison. “A technical player. Tottenham, I think would be the best fit for him. It just depends if he is fit enough and can play most games in the Premier League.
“It’s a different ask compared to Serie A and he hasn’t played too many games for Juve this season. He has been in and out of the side. They can’t seem to build the team around him. Contract talks have broken down.
“In an ideal world, he would like to stay in Serie A. But, if he comes to England, then I don’t see him going to Manchester City, Liverpool or Man United etc…
“So, the best fit, for him, would be a club like Tottenham where he could be their Christian Eriksen a few years ago. He has to play as a ten.”

If Tottenham manage to secure Dybala’s talents, then it would be a serious statement of intent from the club, not just to the rest of the Premier League, but to their manager also.
Antonio Conte wants backing in the summer transfer market and players like Dybala, of his ilk, are ones he probably craves the most.
Spurs have already signed two Juventus players in Rodrigo Bentancur and Dejan Kulusevski, the impact they have had, during such a short space of time, has been remarkable.
So, imagine the impact a ready-made player in Dybala would have on this Spurs side that is hoping to be in the Champions League by the time the summer hits.
