Ian Wright told Wrighty’s House Podcast that Liverpool youngster Curtis Jones can play ‘at any level’ following his recent performances.
The 19-year-old is becoming a regular member of Jurgen Klopp’s midfield, and whilst Liverpool suffered a defeat to Atalanta in the Champions League last night, they impressed in the Premier League over the weekend.
Jones started in the middle of the park for his boyhood club and the youngster didn’t look out of place, and despite being a naturally attacking player, he impressed the most from a defensive aspect.
Former Arsenal striker Wright touched upon his weekend display and loved how Liverpool’s inexperienced players came in and dealt with Leicester.
“Young players and young players who are inexperienced at that level coming in and literally swatting Leicester away,” said Wright.
“It was seamless [from Jones]. Curtis Jones looks to me like he can play at any level for Liverpool. At any level! If it’s Champions League or whatever it is. Beautiful.”

The environment that Jones is playing in his helping him, but there’s one thing having those players around you then it takes a different type of mentality to take it on board and deliver.
More than likely, as the likes of Jordan Henderson and Thiago return from injury, they will push ahead of the teenager.
But that doesn’t mean that Klopp won’t still rely on him and he will still be needed given recent injury problems and Liverpool’s heavy fixture load.
